Halloween Night in Nice

This year we decided to host Halloween at our place, and it turned out to be such a fun evening filled with laughter, costumes, and a little bit of spookiness. I prepared all the decorations myself, and I have to say that the classic spiderwebs are still my favorite. I bought them two years ago, and I keep reusing them every year. They are honestly the best Halloween decoration for the smallest price. Once the lights are dim, you can hardly see anything else, but those webs stretched across corners and shelves instantly create the perfect spooky mood.

To make the atmosphere even cozier, I used my battery candles, two boxes that I got for my birthday a couple of years ago. I still use them all the time, and they add such a warm, mysterious glow to the room. I also found fake eyeballs and dropped them into drinks, especially red wine. They looked hilarious and slightly creepy, which was exactly the goal.

We got ready all together with my friends, did our makeup, and shared pizza and drinks before heading out. The plan was simple: enjoy the night, see all the spooky people in the old town, and dance a little. Everyone in Nice seems to gather there for Halloween. The streets fill up with music, costumes, and people taking pictures, and it’s such a lively atmosphere.

I was dressed as a vampire, and so was my boyfriend. His outfit was such a hit, everyone was staring, taking photos, and complimenting his look. We added a small silicone prosthetic to his forehead and of course, the contact lenses. I wore red ones myself, and they completely transformed the look. We had friends as characters from Black Swan and Clyde. We ended up dancing in one of the clubs in the old town, surrounded by zombies, witches, and vampires from all over the Riviera.

It was one of those nights that felt light and fun from start to finish, with good company, a little bit of creativity, and a lot of laughter.
