Hello everyone! I’m not going to lie it has been a while since the last “coffee talk” post. As we approach the New Year I’m taking more time off to evaluate my work and progress I’ve made. Each year everyone of us is making New Year’s resolutions, the ultimate “to do” list. Not thinking that each year we are just adding more and more on our shoulders with pending things from last year you probably forgot about to top 30 thing you have to do in 2020. And by who? Just by ourselves. This year I encourage you to make also ” NOT to do list”. Simply evaluate your year and think what took you time/ mind unnecessary this year. Social media? Netflix?
We keep hearing from everywhere ” you need to hustle ” but where does it stop? When you can actually say you have done enough? As a creatures we will naturally want more and more, it’s a thing we cannot stop. That’s why on my “NOT to do list” is to stop the hustle and start living because there is a huge difference between being busy and productive.
I took a lot of responsibilities this year. Working full time, running my own business and being blogger all at the same time got a little bit too much for me. I can manage all of those things, but it made me realise that going for a coffee and read a book would feel like I’m guilty of wasting time as I could have done other things. Well, not any more. I want to make more time for myself and if I want to sit in a cafe for an hour and read a book I’ll bloody do it.
I want to encourage each one of you to take a different approach to this New Year’s resolutions. Adding important things and focus on them 100% and make some space for yourself/ family/ friends. You don’t need list of a 50 to do things in 2020, no you don’t. Trust me you just need a few and focus on them completely and I promise you, by the end of 2020 you’ll feel like you’ve actually completed something and not feel disappointed as you had 50 things you wanted to do on the list and you didn’t make half of them happened.
One of my resolutions is to learn Italian language. I’ve always wanted to do this and this year I’ve made it my priority. Starting from taking an Italian language course from the begging of the January. I’ve made a list of 20 things I want to accomplish in 2020 and crossed 15 of them to focus 100% on the top 5 things. Hope you liked this post and I’ll see you next time!
