Imagine a weekend away with the girls, cooking together, laughing together, swimming in a pool, and reading books under the sun. No music, no noise, just the sound of birds and nature all around us.
This is how I spent my weekend, and honestly, it was one of the best ones I’ve had in a long time. It felt like the kind of pause you don’t really know you need until you’re in it. Just time to be with nature, but also with friends. No rush, no plans packed too tightly, just long conversations that go from random small things to the deeper ones you don’t always make space for.

I feel really grateful for the people I have around me. Just very lucky, and very thankful for this time together.
For this weekend, we found an Airbnb with a pool and a barbecue, tucked away in Colobrière. I might not even be saying the name perfectly, but the place itself was hard to forget.
It was surrounded by vineyards, with these soft green views everywhere you looked. It felt really private and calm. The owners lived nearby, but we barely saw them, so it really felt like we had the place to ourselves.

One of the unexpected highlights was their dog, who would come by every now and then, especially when we were all sitting outside at the big table, always hoping someone would share a bite of something.
The table outside kind of became the centre of everything. We had slow breakfasts there, long lunches, and dinners that stretched late into the evening. We used the barbecue a lot, and everything just felt easy and unplanned in the best way.

We spent a lot of time by the pool reading, kind of swapping books and opinions like our own little book club. I stayed mostly off my phone, only really taking it out to capture a few moments here and there. I wanted to actually be there for it, and I’m glad I did.

We were also there for a bachelorette trip for my friend who’s getting married later this year. But instead of doing something loud or very “party”, we went for something slower. More intentional. Just a weekend to enjoy this moment before everything changes a bit.
I think there’s something really nice about girls’ trips like that. It doesn’t feel forced or overplanned, it just feels good. A bit of a reset, in a way.
I had never been to this region before, but it’s really beautiful. Everything feels very green, like it just goes on forever in the distance. In the mornings, I would wake up before everyone else, go for a short walk, or just stretch by the pool. Sometimes the neighbour’s dog would join me, just tagging along like it was part of his routine too.

We also went on a few hikes to explore the area a bit more, which made me realise how quiet and beautiful it really is.
There was just a lot of nature, a lot of calm, and a lot of time together. I really had the best time.
Looking back, it’s one of those weekends that just stays with you. Not because anything dramatic happened, but because everything was simple, easy, and felt really good to be part of.
