TRAVEL DIARIES
ROME, ITALY
“Live with no excuses and travel with no regrets” ~ Oscar Wilde
Part of my heart lives in Rome, always had and always will.
Visiting Rome in March was a great idea. Fewer people on the streets and the city is still “asleep” before the tourist season starts. My favourite part of the trip was exploring colourful Trastevere. A bohemian area with lots of great restaurants referred to as part of Rome where local people live.
While most people stick to touristy and busy spots in Trastevere you can find people rushing to work or sitting and enjoying afternoon espresso with friends.
Here is some other places worth visit while in Rome.
- Colosseum
- Foro di Cesare
- Altar of the Fatherland
- Pantheon
- Fountain of Neptune
- Roman Forum
- Arco dei Pantani
- Ponte Sisto
- Castello Caetani
- Fontana di Trevi
- St. Peter’s Basilica
- Chiesa di Santa Maria di Loreto
