TRAVEL DIARIES
ROME, ITALY
“Live with no excuses and travel with no regrets” ~ Oscar Wilde
Part of my heart lives in Rome, always has and always will.
Visiting Rome in March was such a great idea. The streets were quieter, and the city still felt like it was gently waking up before the tourist season began. My favorite part of the trip was exploring the colorful Trastevere district, a bohemian area filled with local restaurants and a truly authentic Roman charm.
While most visitors stay near the main attractions, in Trastevere you can see a different rhythm of life. People rushing to work, chatting over espresso, or simply sitting in the sun with friends. It’s the part of Rome that feels the most real.
Here are a few other places worth visiting while you’re in Rome:
Colosseum
Foro di Cesare
Altar of the Fatherland
Pantheon
Fountain of Neptune
Roman Forum
Arco dei Pantani
Ponte Sisto
Castello Caetani
Fontana di Trevi
St. Peter’s Basilica
Chiesa di Santa Maria di Loreto
