Summer Has Arrived in Nice 🌸
Something magical has happened—summer has officially arrived on the east side of France. The days are brighter, the breeze is warmer, and the air is filled with the scent of blooming flowers. Suddenly, everything feels alive with possibility.
Balancing Studio Work and Sunshine
Lately, I’ve been splitting my time between working on new sewing patterns and soaking up the sunshine. There’s so much energy in the air here in Nice, with events, markets, and the vibrant summer buzz in full swing.
This season has reminded me how important it is to create space—for both personal joy and professional growth. I’ve been slowing down a little, trying to set better boundaries, and letting myself enjoy a slower, more intentional rhythm.
A Fresh Beach Tote
One project I recently finished is a cheerful beach tote bag. I used a fun, summery fabric, and it turned out exactly how I imagined—roomy enough for a towel, a good book, and snacks for the beach.
I’ll be sharing a photo of it below, and if you’d like to make your own, you can grab the pattern from my Etsy shop or website. It’s a perfect weekend sew and makes a lovely gift too!
Swimsuit Season Has Begun
I’ve also been deep in swimsuit-making mode and just released my first swimsuit pattern of the season: Lupe. It’s a flattering one-piece with contrast trim and pretty bow-tie shoulder straps. Feminine, fun, and perfect for the beach or pool.
More swimsuit patterns are in the works, and I can’t wait to share them with you soon!
A Gentle Return to Writing
I’ve been thinking a lot about how much I miss writing regularly here. I used to post often, sharing bits of my process and creative life, but somewhere along the way, that habit faded.
Now, with the calm of early summer, I feel ready to return to it. I want to be more present on this blog and take time to write in a way that feels genuine and joyful.
So Many Projects, So Little Time
My sewing table is full of ongoing projects, and I’m doing my best to finish them without rushing. There’s a lot coming up—new patterns, ideas, and updates—and I’m excited to bring you along.
Everything’s Blooming
Right now, Nice is bursting with color. Flowers are blooming everywhere, and it feels like the city is waking up in the most beautiful way. I’m feeling inspired, energized, and deeply grateful to be creating in this season.
